It Really Can't Be Good for Public Relations:
Part of an interesting news article I read today:
"Pope Benedict XVI has reasserted the universal primacy of the Roman Catholic Church, approving a document released Tuesday that says Orthodox churches were defective and that other Christian denominations were not true churches..."
It seems to me like that's a very weird stand for the pope to take (I wonder if pope is supposed to be capitalized). I mean, sure, standing up for one's own, specific beliefs/religion is good, but telling the rest of the Christians that they're not true Christians and don't really count (in order to make them Catholic, I'd assume) doesn't seem like the smartest tactic. If anything, it would cause discord rather than cooperation. Whatever happened to that whole idea of Christian brotherhood that Western society was built off of?
Hm. I dunno. I guess I just think it's weird, even if it doesn't relate to me at all.

IN OTHER, HAPPIER NEWS: A guy from Bend sat down on his lawn-chair with some helium balloons and tried to fly to Idaho today. He made it 193 miles before he landed.
This is one of my life goals, now. Lawn-chair ballooning.
